About Pat McKinnon
Pat is a much sought after speaker in the energy credit/risk space. For over 30 years, his career has spanned field operations, compliance, marketing, trading, and infrastructure development. His broad range of projects include field asset development to full digital deployments and integration. Most recently he co-founded Latigo Energy Group LLC. Pat has enormous experience with energy risk and credit to share with all conference attendees.

Pat’s Energy Industry Experience
Earlier in Pat’s career, he held positions in trading with Occidental Petroleum, trade management with Cinergy, and several positions within Amerex from broker to Marketing Director. He continues to leverage his early career experience as an equity presence in production, short haul pipeline projects, and with an advisory role for power and gas marketing/supply commitments. He later served as Senior Director at Euler Hermes Energy, a world leader in credit insurance. At Euler Hermes, he was instrumental in developing alternative assurance markets. His other contributions included product development and distribution across the energy sector.

Pat is an active participant in the International Energy Credit Association (IECA) and the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO). As Associate Director with the CME Group, he was responsible for the development of products and services primarily aimed at the physical energy markets. Pat played a significant role in the development of CME Direct and ConfirmHub, a post transaction confirmation management and straight through processing platform. Later, CME took over and the platform’s legacy continues as CME STP. Pat served as President of Buffalo STX Energy, a consortium of independent drillers and operators, and was responsible for expanding their footprint, improving operations, marketing, and capital deployment. He also participated in the development planning for end-to-end international LNG solutions, and alternative fuel production and distribution projects.
